Hi there, I'm from a small town in Southern Illinois where life is sleepy and calm for the most part. I became interested in photography when my stepmother took me and my stepsister outside one night. It was during a comet and she told us to stand in one spot and take a big step to the side every few seconds. She was taking a long exposure to capture the comet and the results ended up showing my stepsister and I in 3 different places at once. I remember being in awe the first time I saw the photo and thought it was magic. After that I always wanted to take photos and the results were from a lot of disposable 35mm cameras.
In college I finally had the opportunity to take a photography class and fell in love. A year later I took another photography class and started working in a portrait studio. My love for photography grew and I decided to attend Columbia College Chicago where I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Commercial Photography. I ate, slept, and lived photography. I grew so much during my time there.
For several years after college I freelanced in Chicago. I had a lot of incredible experiences, met amazing people, and left work everyday feeling proud of what I accomplished. I was part of advertising campaigns including DOVE, Sprint, Roosevelt University, University of Chicago, New Balance, pharmaceutics, Quaker, Ulta, Pentax, Land of Nod. During this time, I also worked in a photography studio. I had the delightful opportunity to be the set photographer for a few short film and trailers. Since moving to Las Vegas, I’ve photographed for a small business, photographed portraits, products, and landscapes. I’ve been retouching regularly since graduating as well.
